Data Warehousing

Connecting the dots turns data into intelligence. One of Honeycomb’s greatest strengths is its flexibility. It can accommodate data from many disparate systems, formats and locations. In the diagram below, you can see some of the data we have accessed to provide unique insight into your marketing performance. Often measurement is constrained to just a silo of data. Connecting the advertising performance to results in eCommerce creates actionable feedback that allows you to optimize your efforts. Replacing best-of-breed systems isn’t necessary, you just need to connect them using Honeycomb as your Data Warehouse.

People
Honeycomb stores much more than the basic information. It stores their preferences; activity and more. It stores their communication preferences (opt-ins), when they want it and how they want it. All their activity is stored in Honeycomb. You can see what they do over their lifetime with your brand. And you can append their Profile with a data service. We use services (you may have your own) to predict a person's activity. When you know this much about your Target Audience, it's hard to miss. Not enough? You can create 500 fields specific to your needs.

Advertising Volumes
Store the anonymous data about your Reach. Impressions, Circulation, Audience, whatever. You need to store it somewhere. Storing it in Honeycomb helps you compare Gross Impressions to Conversions. It helps you divide the media costs into Impressions to determine what CPM you realized.
Website Traffic
Email Activity
Reservations
Getting Reservations in and out of third-party systems can be complicated. Each Reservations system is unique. So, we've developed a number of Best Practices on handling these issues. If we don't capture all of the Reservation in Honeycomb, we'll extract what we need to market smarter. Since the goal is to produce more Reservations, success is dependent on using Honeycomb's strengths in Lead Nurturing.
Competition & Indexes
Do you have Research? Conversion Studies? Competitive data on other destinations? Don't keep it in a drawer. Put it in Honeycomb and develop trends. See how you compare to your peers over time.
Anything With Credentials And A Connection
We've never met a database we didn't like. Although their are exceptions. Infrequently we encounter a proprietary system that refuses to play well with others. It happens. Aside from those, we just need to know where it lives and what format it's in.
Stump The Chump?
Got some gnarly data? Send it to us and we'll see how persnickety it is before we abandon hope.
